SCO has, of course, been claiming ownership of the Unix code base; the SCOsource page is quite clear on
that point. So it interesting to note the following in SCO's
annual report as filed with the SEC: " The Company has an

SCO again reiterated it is sole rightful owner of Unix System V source code, all related copyrights. Copyright transfer issue is clarified in Amendment 2 to asset purchase agreement between SCO and Novell, October 1996. [eWeek]

COMMENTARY--If organizations could feel grumpy about the past, Novell would have the blues so bad BB King should write the company anthem. Here is an outfit who owned corporate networking just at the point the market went stratospheric. Netware
Some open-source community members thought they had a smoking gun against SCO and claims to own intellectual property rights to Unix OS, but Novell on Thursday poured cold water on that. [eWeek]
